Creative Writing Contest
HEY KIDS!What is the story behind these two characters? What is happening? What led up to it? And how in the world did it end?!
Enter our first creative writing contest. Using the picture above as your inspiration, tell a story in 500 words or less. Email it to me at karen.engstrom(at)comcast(dot)net and our honorary judges will decide who wrote the best story. Winner will be sent a special prize and have their story published here on our prestigious blog!
Deadline for submission - Midnight (PST) August 1st, 2006
(Note: word limit has been changed from 200 to 500 words or less! NOW the creative juices can flow!)
Editor's Note 07/26/06
There will be judging in different age groups, so feel free to have the olders and youngers participate!
(A note to creative parents - this is a chance to see what your kids can do. While I know that many of you are VERY creative folks, we'd like this to be an opportunity for your kids to shine! Please feel free to help them, but we'd like the gist of it to be straight from their imaginations, just to keep it fair for all kiddos!)

Sounds fun!I think I'll try it. Can me and my sisters make the story up together?

Do we have to tile it I can't think of a good tile.
Hi girls,
No, Tawni, you don't need a title if you can't think of one.
Sure, Kaitlyn, if you and your sisters want to work on one together, you can! Sounds like a good "project".
:-)

Em's already started too. She not finished and already has too many words!! Happy reading to you!!!
Tirz wants to know who these judges are???
Looking forward to Em's story!!
Tell Tirz we haven't decided who will be judging with us, but we'll have two impartial people, as well as PapaPyro and myself. (Impartial meaning, not related to us...just in case our girls want to write a story, too!)
My kids think this is a fun idea. We will work on it! Jules
I think I will see what my boys can come up with. They are constantly writing "movies."
By-the-by we got Heath Happenings up and running. It needs a bit of work, but using the Iblogger thing turned out to be easy enough to get it going. It used to just say Kendra on my comments, but now it says Heath Clan. That is our name on the blog spot. Thanks Karen.
Can my sister Kaitlyn help me with mine even though she did one all ready?
Sure thing, Megan.
Have fun!
:-)
When will the winner be announced?
Look for the winners list on Monday!
