A most wonderful part of our trip

Talk about arm-twisting.

Kim, at Life in a Shoe, just posted a strong reminder that I need to continue to tell you about our trip to Texas. Thanks for the sweet words and humorous memories, Kim. We really had a wonderful time with you and Perry.

Honestly, the conference was so valuable for casting new vision for our family, but as far as fellowship, fun, and truly enjoying a Texas experience, getting to know Kim and her husband was the highlight of our trip. As she mentioned, Erik and her hubby got along waaay too well. We were thrilled to dine out with them more than once (including once with their very sweet, very well-behaved, very normal children), even being introduced to our first Whataburger (I had to google that just to find out how it was spelled, by the way!).

Kim's hubby gave us a partial grand-tour (would that still be considered a grand-tour?) of Vision Forum. It was a great adventure to visit the home of many of our Christmas, birthday, and oh-we-can't-live-without-THIS gifts! Sadly, I cannot share with you the "How We Shoplifted from Vision Forum" story, lest someone be incriminated (and it's none of your beeswax who that might be!).

Sometimes in life you come to realize that God has gifted you with a special encounter. We are blessed to see that getting to know Perry and Kim is just one such experience. Thanks, guys. Let's do it again.

Hi Karen,

I wonder if you made the connection yet, that while you were at Vision Forum, you met Calico Zak and my Very Dear Hubby?

I'm glad you had so much fun - we sure did! Mother Hen reminded me that now I can add you to my list of

Can't wait to see you on the Left Coast in a couple of weeks.

Jenny - I posted on your blog, but did I meet your guys at the conference or at VF itself??

Kim - Wow. That's quite an honor. I'll put that in my resume, for sure.
I'm looking forward to our next visit as well. Travel safe.
:-)

Karen~ I answered on my blog too, but I'll also tell you here. You met them at VF, in the warehouse. My hubby works with Kim's hubby. ;^)

Sounds like SUCH a great trip. I really wish I could meet up with you all, but we are actually having family in town that very weekend.
Have a great time, take lots of pictures! :)

Kim is such a great lady isn't she! I have been privileged to be her friend and even attend the same church is only for a few months.
